I to have the "Histtlee" as we call it on this forum. I am goin to replace my stoch gaskets with some composite gaskets from Pep boys and put some gasket sealer on it and see if this clears up some of the noise.

it happens to me too but its from the flex pipes in my Y

 

I am going to have my muffler shop make up a x pipe to replace the h pipe. I will let you know how that works out for me.

 

OP, I have the same sound. Borla TD with invidia test pipes.

 

dont they have a xyz pipe? try that. i got aps test pipes (stock exhaust) and the same histle when i let off and haven't found a way to eliminate it yet. im thinking about bout a stillen y pipe (ny350zg) i see we both haven't fixed it yet. i wonder if it is bad for motor to have that flowback coming back up the y pipe? this problem is very very aggravating

 

Because Megan products have no QC and are made out of who-knows-what alloy. Look around - they're products are complete knockoffs and POS.

 

High temp ultra copper works great and doesn"t burn off.

 

I know that some people on this site are not Megan Racing fans but where did you get the information they have no quality control? The reading I have done show me that they do have controls in place and that for the most part make a good product. I could have spen more and maybe but why? Please share with your information so that others will be well informed.

I agree that they are not perfect but to say they have "no" QC is not the case. They are one of the largest suppliers of aftermarket exhaust upgrades and because of that mistakes in manufacturing happen. So yes they do have QC.

 

i have borla with RTP and i get the same exact thing, i just deal with it

 

I can't deal with it any more. I am going tomorrow to have an X pipe made up and installed. I will let you know how it works out.
