Default Rasp???

So I installed Megan Resonated test pipes over the weekend. I also have the Borla TD exhaust. My car sounds great and has noticable gains in mid range. The only nagitive is a "hiss" sound when I let of the gas. I took it to a muffler shop to check for exhaust leaks and none were found. They said the sound is coming from the exhaust passing through and past the H pipe. Is this the "rasp" people get with test pipes?

I have the same setup, but with the magnaflow xpipe. It happens around 2200rpm. It sounds horrible. And the cause is the Megan racing TPs. Im taking mine off.

I don't have a y pipe. I have true duals from the TP's back. There is a H pipe or cross over I guess about 1/3 way back.

this happened to test pipes quite often. I found a few videos on youtube about the hissing when the RPM needle comes down. I too have Megan resontated tp and no hiss so far. Sound means and loud!

Is that what you are talking about? Seems any muffler shop can make that.

yeah, well that guy got the idea from the original thread... you could give it a try, probably wouldnt cost much, and yeah any muffler shop could do it, but im not sure if it would help with the tp's installed...
