Borla XR-1 Racing Long-Tube Headers: 20 HP/ 25 ft lbs Torque
My friend told me that Borla has these headers for the 350. I did a look up and all I could find was listings for domestics. The estimated gains as I said are 20hp and 25 ft lbs of torque (possibly to the rear wheels).
I asked all the import shops in the chicago land area and found one that said they could get it. Although they couldnt give any other info on it besides the Borla's estimated gains and of corse the price: $1000. Although I think thats not bad compared to crawford z's long tubes.
If I had the money now, Id be the pig--but I think I want to get rid of these stock 17s first. So anyone want to try it?
If you guys are interested the shop's site is www.driversphere.com The number on the site doesnt work for some reason, and I dont have faith in the email. Luckily, the sales dude I talked to gave me his email driversxtc@hotmail.com
I just emailed Borla, Ill post once they reply.
So. Anyone else hear about these?
Here are some pictures I found of the XR-1 Headers that were for other cars (camaros, stangs, vettes, etc...)

that's weird no one knew about these things...usually people are talking about things like this weeks before they come out...especially a Borla product after the exhaust craze that swept through this forum...even if it was out, how come some shops wouldn't be able to get it? if a shop wanted to sell $1,000 headers to a customer who came in and said they wanted them, wouldn't the shop most likely find a way to get the headers?

Those pics are from a C5 vette. The LS1 oil pan with "wings" is the give away
Borla headers for the Z have a part number of 17221

www.Summitracing.com has them for a good price. $595.95 but they are back order. So this other place offering them to you for $1000 is ripping you off. I won't even pay that much for them installed. Don't walk, run away from that shop.
