Z-Dub you need to upp that vid bro. I`m curious as to the sound your setup is making.

Found this on Utube. A Z with Tomei headers, TPs, and HKS Hi power. Sounds good but I wonder how it would sound with the Bassani thrown in there.

No problem. I cancelled my order and I'll soon purchase a set of resonated pipes. I'm going to drift not drag so I don't want my car to make a bunch of noise.

BTW, I just noticed that there's an S15 parked next to that camero/firebird (whatever) car in the vid I attached. I wonder if it's a real one or some cheesy convert.

I put noticed that last night when i put my test pipes on that I have a small leak in the back, you cant hear a ton of exhaust gasses but I can see the water running out of the clamped connection in the rear but the clamp is tight as it can be...

On another note I did install some Megan RPTs last night and WOW! this thing got alot louder...There is rasp when i first start it up but after it warms up it goes away...Sounds great but the only downfall is I think I might have found a Turbo kit local so I might have to sell the Bassani due to its small piping diameter

I like the sound of the Bassani for sure, very deep and growls but it just wasnt loud enough for me...but with these TPs its much louder and still sounds good with a very slight rasp but I do like the way it sounds!

sounds good man...a lot better than mine...it's a little quieter, but no where near as raspy. i'm pretty tired of the bassani now. i've had it on my Z for over a year and had it with test pipes for a month and a half now, and it's just gotten old.

Is the Bassani exhaust you guys are talking about the 350Z5?
Why does this one sound so crappy?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaeIh...layer_embedded
I would hate to get this exhaust and for it to sound like this.
I have a pretty much stock 03 350z right now with just a jwt pop but if I get this exhaust want it to sound more like this one.

Why the variance between the two?

In the video with the black 350Z, it sounds like the guy didn't let the exhaust warm up, or he has an exhaust leak. He could have test pipes. Mine sounded more like the red one...

There is only one Bassani exhaust made for the 350Z; however, I think a few months ago, Bassani made a few changes like adjusting the piping to prevent rattling and making it with rolled tips. The sound didn't change though.

Z-Dub is that video of your car? That sounds sexxxxxxxxy.

Do you have anything besides the exhaust that would affect the sound?
Is there any drone issues when just cruising? I was originally looking at the Injen SES but heard drone is a b*tch on it.
The above video is on am 07 and I have an 03 would there be any noticeable difference of the two?
Any cons on it that you can think of?

Yes, that's my car, but I don't have the Bassani on it anymore. I had it on my car for over a year. I had no other mods. It sounds nice with the stock cats. There is no drone while cruising. It sounds like the stock exhaust except it has a louder and deeper note. An '03 will probably have slightly lighter note than an '07 at higher RPMs though.

Here's a clip of an '03:

CONS:
-build quality isn't the greatest
-the mufflers aren't level after installation (leans a little clockwise from level)
-I don't like the sound with test pipes (very raspy)
-it's a slip-on exhaust...a pain if you have to take it off
-mine didn't have rolled tips

what exhaust do you have now? I really like the look of the Injen SES but I heard the drone is horrible. I would hate to get an exhaust with horrible drone.

I have the Motordyne Dual Shockwave. It looks and sounds awesome. It's very loud though, but you can get the Motordyne Dual Gamma, which has the same sound but quieter. Search for clips of it on YouTube. I'm going to have some of mine up as soon as I get time. There's a thread about it in this sub-forum.

How would you comment on the sound of the Bassani? It sounds like its louder than stock but quiter then the MD shockwave. Would it be between one of those two or closer to one. I want something that is definately going to be louder but not to loud. Would hate to purchase it and find its barely louder than stock. Thanks for the input so far.
