Not sure what else you would need - but I believe you need a new hood. Good luck.

lots of work required to make it fit...custom cnc'd adapter, ecu work, new intakes, new hood, wiring of the secondary throttle body

edit - your friend didn't buy an intake manifold, he bought just an intake

the one for the HR (2007-2008 Z's) will not fit a DE (2003-2006 Z's) - DE one shown below

are you talking about the intake arm and box or the whole manifold?

huh?
what do you mean manifold that goes to the nismo. As previously stated, he most likely purchased the intake tube and filter which is known just as an intake or cold air intake and not a manifold which would cost (my guess) around $1500 or more at the cheap end. I dont think the manifold are swapable physically, and you deff would need to do more work than bolting it up. Im in the process of inquiring if the intakes at the heads are simmilar between the DE and HR for another reason. So from the limited details we have you can not purchase nor would need to, his old intake. Go out and get yourself a separate intake and filter for the DE's. Its a single not a dual.

Nismo makes an intake manifold for the HR? Since when? I would imagine this would have been a big discussion in the HR tuning section.

Pics or BS.

But I wanna see the new Nismo intake manifold.

Hopefully two stages of nitrous won't damage it and make my diamond plate floor panel fly away.

You will have to block off one the two intakes, and use the other.

No way man, he can just put a filter over the intake hole on the left side......it will just be constantly sucking in air, no need for a TB to regulate it. Makes launches much easier too.
