Bingo , more airflow for my AEM CAI and blocks out the splashed water at the same time.

The CAI filter sits directly above the vents.

I think the water are been splashed up by the wheels when the car is moving forward so I have the vents facing the front so they should deflect the water.

wouldnt water go behind the wheels when your driving?

the water splashes up from the ground.. there is mist and all kinds of things like that that is being deflected into that scoop now...

Wel it's got to be better than the Injen CAI filter placement, mine is soaked every time it rains!! I'm working on a ghetto rigged shield though...

Has anyone tried those K&N "Drychargers"? They are supposed for boats with silicone treated facric. Just curious. I have a dry type one (Precharger) on my Injen CAI filter that seems to be ok. But its only been on a couple weeks.

You shouldn't really worry about getting the filter wet. It's when it gets fully immersed in water.
