Default headers install

ok so i installed my own headers last sat, i did it myself and it took me about 16 hours, haha i had trouble with a bolt on the pass side forward section, and a few other things, the instal was THE biggest pain in the *** instal i have ever done. i feel good though because i did i myself. anywho def worth it i think, it FEELS quiker, better throtle response, and way louder. i posted a sund clip in the video section but i figured you n/a guys might want to see the vid, ill get more in a few days.my camera had a hard time with the loudness of the exhaust.

ya, this car was the worst header install i've ever done. I was shocked (and pissed) at how long it took me. It was a huge pain.

Holy hell... if the Borla exhaust didn't have such a weak reputation with leaks I would be all over that exact setup you have!

That thing sounds like it eats babies for lunch.

Give yourself a pat on the back. I would never attempt a header install by myself.

HINT: In 1,000 miles check all bolts for tightness.

I've noticed that borla exhausts for some reason, on any car, when headers are thrown into the mix, sound amazing. Just exhaust by itself though is a different story.

May have to attempt a header install myself. Tiburon V6 was a pain, but I'm up for a challenge

Good job. Take some flyby vids. Can't hear the exhaust from it being so close

ah crap, i guess i'm going to be back there with you over the winter. After putting my built engine in over the weekend it sounds like i have an exhaust leak on the passenger side.....total bummer.

it does have some small leaks around the clamps, i wish they made flanges, i have no idea why they didnt switch to flanges even after they know clamps are terrible on this exhaust.

ah, mine actually hasn't had any leaks on the borla side. It's been on there almost a year and still doing good. I just didn't put new header gaskets on when i did my engine swap and i think i have a small leak on the passenger side. Either that or this built motor has more valvetrain noise than my stock block. I'm pretty sure it's an exhaust leak though.

you could weld your borla.
