Default Exotic Speed R1-T with Motordyne XYZ Review

I recently installed the Exotic Speed R1-T PWR-Si which is a Y-back system and paired it with a Motordyne XYZ pipe + Resonator module. I have had the exhaust on the car now for a couple weeks and it was the sound I have been looking for! the first 3 pictures below are not mine, I am "borrowing" them for reference.

Note: this exhaust is for the G35 and not the 350z but I thought I would share anyways. It maybe possible to have this exhaust custom fitted for a Z but I do not know for certain.

The PWR-Si version is considered the quieter version in comparison with the PWR version which was just released. The exhaust comes with a 3inch stainless steel mid-pipe with titanium resonator. This pairs up with the dual muffler section which has stainless steel piping and titanium mufflers and tips. The design is very very similar to the Amuse R1 Titan and some would consider this as a much more affordable replica of that exhaust. The craftsmanship and welds look very nice and appears to be a very good quality exhaust. There were no fitment issues at all when installing and it bolted right up to the Motordyne XYZ pipe. The only problem I have with this exhaust are the tips...I mean look at them...they are freakin blue! which I'm sure would look great on a blue car but I'm just not really feeling it on my DG coupe. There is now the option to have either stainless steel or just burnt ends of the tips but I would like to have a dual-wall or rolled tip instead.

Now the Motordyne XYZ pipe has really impressed me as well. The craftsmanship is great and also had no problems with fitment. The ability to easily swap out a resonator/straight pipe/HFC is a great bonus that I am sure will come in handy for me down the road...come on tony and hurry up and release those damn test pipes of yours!! There is also a very noticeable increase in performance that came with the install of this exhaust. In comparison to my car beforehand, it seems to breath a lot better and really wants to go when you step on it. There is also a very nice growl upwards of 4k RPM and I plan on making more sound clips inside the car and under WOT.

Now for the sound clip comparison...

My car:
2006 G35 Coupe 6MT (Rev-up)
Motordyne MREV2
Motordyne 5/16 spacer
JWT Pop-Charger

The before clip is my car with the above mods, the after clip consist of the above mods with the Motordyne XYZ pipe + Resonator module and the Exotic Speed R1-T PWR-Si.

Yeah the tips looks a little Pep Boy-ish but the exhaust sounds wonderful. I've always wanted the XYZ.

I think the tips look perfect, reminds me of amuse exhaust. If you don't mind me asking, how much is the motordyne xyz pipe? And do you know if I can use it on my hks dual?

Thanks for the comments. I'll add some pics of the XYZ sometime today. As for the tips, I was thinking of buying some motordyne rolled tips and seeing if I could weld them on or something. I just dont like those big thin metal tips, even the motordyne ones. Dual wall/rolled tips all the way!

I think it'd look good on a color like Daytona Blue. Nice exhaust & I'm glad you're happy with it.
