Default O2 Sensor for headers and catalytic interchangable?

I need to replace my O2 sensor for the LH catalytic converter (rear O2).

The seller had sent me the wrong O2 which is for the front LH (header).

Will that work for the catalytic ? Should I send it back

I believe the pre and post-catalytic converter oxygen sensor is the same design and therefore interchangeable.

What is different is the electrical connection. Each connector is unique and will fit only one connector. This keeps you from plugging the wrong sensor into the wrong connector.

I thought one was a fast response and one was a slow response sensor... (vaguely recall from the FSM)

I stand corrected. One is made of Zirconia(18 mm). The other Titania(12 mm).
