you have to hold a lighter up to it for a really long time

not really. you could chop your tips off and custom fabricate any exhaust tip your heart desires on to it though.

time to get creative!

yes, it can be done....all u need to do is drive ur Z really fast none stop for 24 hour straight...u might need a co-driver cuz i dont recommend driving 24 hour straight, unless u have really good blow or aderall. once u complete the 24 hour of driving u need to pour ice cold water on ur exhaust tips( that's how u get the blue color). Good Luck....u can do it...

That is true.

Go to your local hardware store and purchase a torch set for around $12.99.

Clean the tips very well and have at it.

If you mess up, use some metal polish and try it again.

I redid my X02 tips this way. Looks much better.

1. You can fade colors exactly how you want on the tips.
2. This is much cheaper than a $12.99 torch.
3. This is much SAFER than a $12.99 torch.
4. You can make more colors than you could with a torch.
5. BONUS!! With the new Anti roll crayons, you dont need to purchase sway bars for your car!!

I read something in a project car magazine that said something about dipping the tips in cola and adding a certain voltage to the metal IIRC.

I just polished off the blue on my XO2 exhaust b/c it was shitty.
