Default How much louder will Kinetix high flow cats make your exhaust

Does anyone know how much louder your exhaust will be with fitting Kinetix high flow cats? They are ceramic high flow cats so am I right in assuming there will be very little change in your exhaust noise after fitting them? I've done lots of searching but can't find out the difference before and after.

Thanks for any info.

It can only had raised the exhaust valume only so much while you'd want it to be. The real answered would be it to the inside, rear... This leads to the final question answer to be had, thus having it be [--] that much.

Lol @ Davidv nice pic. However I'm not asking if it will be "too loud" but whether it will add any extra noise at all. My old vw v6 had Milltek ceramic high flow cats and they made no difference at all to noise (whether added to stock or aftermarket exhaust). Is this the same with Kinetix hfc on the 350z? If anyone with a 350z that has fitted them did you experience any noise difference before and after?

Hey Bro,

Not too much louder but it will be a little raspier. It has a slightly louder and hollow sound, but barely noticable.

Just look at the function. Catalytic converters (high or low flow) are NOT noise attenuating components. Resonators and mufflers are.

Yes it will be noticeably louder. But if you want scaring little kids/setting off car alarms louder get some non resonated test pipes and some headers. That should be plenty loud and raspy.

On my first Z I went from just a Stillen True Dual exhaust to Stillen headers, Stillen high flow cats and the exhaust.

The difference was pretty huge man. Much more cabin noise, but not enough to be annoying or anything in my opinion. Id say go for it.

Cheers guys. I'm definitely going to go for it. Thanks for your help. I have also had a response back from Kinetix and they say their cats are 200cpi so should certainly improve the flow and the extra noise will be a bonus. Thanks for pointing that out Davidv I'm not buying them to get extra noise - I'm after power Just curious how different my exhaust would sound afterwards from people that have used them.
