Those are the ebay special pipes. I had 2 sets of them and they crack in that same spot where yours are welded. They usually bust wide open. I would leave them on since they've been pro welded now lol.

Plus taking them off you would lose like 6hp!!

to jump on the bandwagon, yes, resonated TP's. the rattling sound could be that crack depending on how bad it truly is, sometimes a cracked pipe will rattle under load since those two cracked pieces of metal will contact with each other.

p0327 is a low input knock sensor if i recall right. Only way to fix that is to replace the knock sensor/harness. Your car right now is slow as hell with that code. I should know cuz i had it. Fix it and your car will feel like a totally different car afterwards.

I read that somewhere 350zmotoring or something. the guy had to change like you said harness and sensor total cost of like 120. Another addition to the todo list.

yea i was that guy. This issue is actually pretty common and hard to figure out. Most dealerships dont even sell the harness.

Also it doesnt trigger the CEL, so for almost a year i was driving my Z thinking i was badass just to find out i had a 15sec limp mode Z lol.

so since 0327 doesn't throw an SES light, the only way to trouble shoot it is to run a diagnostic on the Z? are there any telltale signs I should look further into? also, OP, with the shotty test pipes and the knock sensor issue, have you considered doing any other research on whether the car was abused further before you purchased it?

hard to tell with mine since my Z was the only Z i drove when i bought it. But only way to be sure is to have it checked with a code reader, CEL or not. If you have the code your car will run extremely sluggish and youll have some kind of "lag" when you step on it. Throttle response is not there if you know what i mean.
