how badly stripped are they? if their not too bad than what you can do is take a socket thats either 13mm or 12mm socket put it on the nut and hit it with a hammer so that the socket is fully on the nut, then try to take it off. If it still doesnt work get a grinder.

And remember to keep soaking the nuts with PB Blaster

About the impact gun and torque wrench comments.
I'm new to this. I was just trying to think of ways to get the bolts out. That's why I asked for advice.

My friends brother, who has much more experience working on cars, is coming over today to help. Hopefully I'll have some videos up by tonight.
If you already stripped the bolts just cut them or drill them off with a sawzall , or grinder, or drill and bit .. a nutbreaker works too..

Use new bolts and nuts and apply antisieze so it doesn't happen again.

you gotta learn somewhere man......learn all you can from your friends brother, and any mods you get, see if he can help you install them, etc........

if not, get with your local meets in your area and learn from other Z owners doing installs, etc.......

working on cars isnt learned over night.........takes some practice and the right tools for the job......

I agree. When doing a mod on your car for the first time do as much research as possible before starting and take your time doing it so that nothing gets messed up. Like I said before, when you get your exhaust off take it to a shop to have them remove the stock bolts so that you can use new ones when you need to put it back on.

these are a few things you should definitely have when working on your car:

Torque wrench
breaker bar
deep sockets
O2 sensor socket
PB Blaster
Anti-seize
Permatex Copper Spray-A-Gasket (spray on your gasket to ensure proper seal)

If you've stripped the bolts, you can also try a "bolt-out" kit. They're made to take out stripped bolts and nuts. I keep one in my toolbox, and it's saved me a few times.

I used a blow torch to heat the bolts until they were red hot then broke them loose with a wrench and a pipe on the end of it. Took me about 20 minutes to do them all.

Did you let the car cool overnight before you tried this?? Usually the heat will keep the bolts together tight, correct me if I'm wrong.

We had a similar problem replacing my salve cylinder, just put a metal pipe on the ratchet then try it with that.

After my friends brother tried everything he could and bolt out rathets didn't work I ended bringing it to midas, gave the guy $15, and he cut the bolts off.
It sounded amazing with no exhaust but it was too loud and smelled horrible.

It only took us about 30 minutes to jack it up again and put the new exhaust on.
It looks great and sounds even better. I'm gonna do a bumper tuck tomorrow, wash it,take some pictures and post up some videos. It's sounding better the more I drive it.

Thanks for all the help guys.
