one high flow cat is not going to sound dramatically different from another when comparing metal to metal or ceramic to ceramic. Ceramic will sound deeper, be less expensive. Metal flows a touch better (assuming the car is NA), are more expensive, will be louder and raspier

the trick is finding a cat that fits correctly, that doesn't fail prematurely

I'll have to agree.. I don't have HFC's yet, but from everything I've heard so far, on YouTube and what not, Berks sound the nicest.. to me at least.

Absolutely - I used the Ultimate Racing ones on my car from 2003-2007 without issue. Those are the ones I prefer, and they have treated us very well (only 1 set ever having to go back for warranty since 2003)

no dont wrap them may cause cracking...i recommend test pipes now, but if u really wanna do high flows just go for it, berk has warranty and replaced mine both times they failed...the last time i just said screw it send me ur test pipes, cause i was done messing with the high flows

test pipes and high flows are not gonna sound much different if any at idle and low rpm's so that doesnt really matter, and as far as getting inspected i live in ny state where we do obd scans and i have no problem...berk test pipes come with the defouler built in so u dont throw any codes and ur car doesnt know the difference...As long as u go somewhere who doesnt care to check for a cat on a visual inspection which i have no problem with ur fine...im sure u must know someone who works at a garage that does inspections and will overlook having no cats or know someone who can help u out..I have never had a problem anywhere ive gotten inspected

the berk test pipes dont have support brackets to prevent y pipe/ test pipe cracking. Ik there HFC do.. Should i be looking at test pipes that come with the support brackets?
