Default Dyno results W/ Injen CAI, exhaust & Nismo Headers

Here are the numbers I got on the Dyno that I used. Hp numbers were a little less tha I expected, but not terrible. My baseline numbers were 227.4 HP and 216.8 torque (run was done in 5th gear).

Put follwoing mods on: Injen CAI and exhaust & Nismo headers.

New HP number was 251.6HP and 244.9 torque (run done in 5th gear). Looks like I got more torque than HP out of this setup. I need to hit one of those "mossey" dyno machines so that I can hit ~275hp.

Anyone know what this translates to at the crank?

A 24HP gain is Nice with those mods..very impressive.
i only got a 17HP gain and i did the Injen CAI, Borla TD, Borla headers, and crawford plenum.

I say you made out good.

Was your baseline done on the same machine as your last run? Also, how much time between runs.

At the crank I say your at 305-310HP range.

Same dyno, same gear, similar temp and humidity. Base line run was about 1 year ago. Did this dyno run this past weekend.

If I understand your question correctly, since my baseline dyno, I have put around 11K to 12K miles on my car.

you did not. what he was asking was how many miles were on the z when you did the baseline. the reason is that after break in the z may let out a few more ponies which is possible why you got so much out of these mods when others have not. (this is of course if you had less than 3-4 k on the car for the baseline)

Oh okay, I did my baseline at ~6K miles. The car was well broken in by then. I have had my car since August 2002.

Only 17 hp when people have posted 17 rwhp for the borla TD alone? and the crawford plenum clains 20 more hp? And headers! you should have gotten way more power! I know those are all high numbers and you would not really get those (with few exceptions because it has been prooven) but still!! only 17 rwhp?

I'd be entirely shocked if the Borla has given 17rwhp alone. Maybe 8-11 but 17? thats a bit much.

That is what I thought! But someone posted a dyno to proove it, 17 hp at the wheels! I do plan on getting this exhaust, but am only expecing maybe 10 rwhp gain which is still pretty good imo.

Sorry, I ment 20 hp at the crank for the intake plenum. My bad.

But even then you would need a 50% loss to get down to 10 rwhp?

like I have said before, my guess is 0 HP gains for CAI, and Headers, the rest comes from the Plenum and Borla exhaust, which seems about right

I understand 17 rwhp for the exhaust and plenum, but headers as well? Just seems kinda weak to me.

i'd like to see the official #s, I thought it was something like 9hp at peak and 20 hp at other points in the power band (rwhp), but NOT peak????

Can't wait to see what numbers they get from the crawford headers! They are putting it on the dyno tomorrow and they say it is MUCH faster on the top end. (see the "Crawford Headers!" thread.

That depends on how you look at things...

Your car made 227.4 RWHP and 216.8 Torque, which is 262 Flywheel HP, and 249 FLywheel Torque.

Or you can say to yourself that your car is 287 flywheel horsepower, and you gained 24.2 RWHP with these mods.

287 FLyweel Horsepower + (24.2 x 1.15) = 315 Flywheel HP.

Actually it was only a 12 Hp gain with the Borla TD Exhaust, Borla Headers, Crawford Plenum, and Injen Intake.
My baseling was 234. I gained 5 with the test pipes to 239 and dyno'd again to show a 12HP increase with the rest of my mods (as stated above) to 251HP.

So break down how you like. I either got 9 HP from the crawford plenum and 3 from the Injen CAI, Borla TD, Headers or vice a versa.
Here is a link to a thread I posted with my dyno sheets if you want to see.
CLICK ME
Page 2 shows my final dyno run with my baseline.

Like I said, 24HP is very respectable for an exhaust/headers and CAI
