Hks dual cat back exhaust Replica (XO2, Godspeed, Gt) Opinions?
So I been looking around for all kinds of exhaust systems for this car. Cheapest I found that were known brands were $800 for cat back exhaust.
I been searching around on all kinds of forums, ebay, website, you tube videos, cardomain, etc.
And these hks replicas don't seem to bad. I know it's hard to trust something that's 1/4th then the real thing.
Alot of people have them installed, Sounds really good outside, reported not to droning inside, stainless steel, holding up according to owners, welding seems decent, looks nice, fitment seems decent, not really any known issues. Only thing people complain about are the tips kinda cheap.
Prices came accross are between $380-600. Which is still not cheap for exhaust but lot better then other systems.
I need some help. Are these the same one? Which place would you order one. Rather buy it from a company then off ebay so can actually talk to someone.
Here are the websites found;
http://www.godspeedproject.com/store...roducts_id=185
http://www.m2performance.net/product...productid=6032
http://www.statikperformance.com/cat...oducts_id=1738
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...#ht_1910wt_936
Think it's worth a shot? It's very tempting.

there are some old threads dealing with this exhaust, just search xo2. i have also been researching this exhaust, if anyone that currently has this exhaust maybe you can post some new info on your experiences with it.

I've read up on these and the word is that they all come from the same manufacturer - now with titanium burnt tips to avoid the 'rusting' issue of the past. They all ship out of the LA area too, so no diff if you buy the xo2, m2performance,godspeed,etc.
Only differences I've seen are: different colors/shades of the burnt tips and whether they offer a 1 year warranty (Godspeed).

hks
dont get it twisted tho... they ALL drone inside the car at highway speeds, its just not as bad as a car w the wrong exhaust like your neighborhood honda, but it is no way a quiet exhaust.
Its a resonated exhaust, not a baffled "turbo" muffler like nismo or stock.

So I called up this ebay seller that sells this exhaust- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...#ht_3377wt_992
I asked him the grade of stainless steel. These exhaust are made out of T409. I know most exhaust system are T304.
I researched and T409 has a much greater chance to show surface rust and corrision especially exposed in certain weather conditions.
Since it's T409 which cost lot less to make. Makes sense why these are so cheap versus the real thing.
The real HKS uses T304 Stainless steel.
Why do you all think. Is it worth it? Still hold over time?, Maybe just need to use a SS cleaner more often?
Thanks!

Search is you friend. I have the hks knockoff and love it. Most of the soundclips on youtube or elsewhere don't do this exhaust justice. I love the way it sounds. Definately worth what I paid for.

They say it's T304. It's just under $500. Is it better to buy thru a company like this then ebay. Are these all the same exhaust or what.
