I just bought a HKS Carbon Ti muffler. Obviously I want mandrel bent piping for this application. Lucky for me, there isn't a mandrel tubing exhaust shop within 150 miles So, I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they solved it? I was thinking about buying mandrel bent u-pipe. Have my exhaust guy do work with fabricating it to the pipe where the bends are needed. I assume buying u-pipe would be the way to go since you can cut it in any angle needed, right?

I guess that works. Or you could look at other single exhaust made for the Z and guesstimate what you would need.

Id reccomend a resonator too BTW. Vibrant makes good ones. Its alrdy going to be megaloud, without a resonator even more-so.

Honestly for all this trouble why didnt you just buy a used exhaust off the marketplace?

I'm definitely getting it resonated. Thanks for the brand recommendation. I really wanted the HKS carbon TI. I also got a nice deal on a new one. Didn't expect these problems.

^ a resonator wouldn't... I thought you meant like headers to muffler. But I now realize you meant from y-pipe back, run it straight pipe.

 

oh lol i was about to E smack u haha jk. I ran AAM 3" single which is vibrant res and muffler and it sounded ok. Not loud and deep enough for me. No i have 3" Megan Drift spec no res and love it. If you youtube user choppaj247 u will find a few with AAM and What i got and Love now

btw u could call w.e nearest shop around u, send them the HKS have them build ur exhaust on another Z and ship back to u. If u want it that bad
