Default Skunk2 plenum spacer

Hey guys, I just ordered a skunk2 racing plenum spacer through my work and was reading up on it a little more and it says that it doesn't work with the factory strut bar. I was wondering whether this is just them being over concerned and just saying that. Has any one had any experiance with this plenum spacer? Thanks guys

Depending on the thickness it may or may not work.

well there was only one thickness to order from. Do you have a strut bar on there now with your skunk2 spacer. i wanted to keep the factory strut bar. and to those who have used them, do you feel a pretty good gain from it? thanks

should have researched it prior to purchasing. you may be able to use spacers on your strut tower bar to lift it a little without hitting your hood. you'll have to play around.

i have the 5/8 plenum on my 03 and yes you do have to remove oem strut bar. I am now using a crawford strutbar.

I also have purchased a Skunk2 spacer without enough investigation. The Crawford strutbar will clear the Skunk2 spacer and the hood?

Skunk spacers are notorious for leaking. I'd say the strut bar is the least of your worries.

Yes it will, here are some pics that show the strutbar. Note that the sk2 spacer are not in these pics but you get the idea:

BTW: These are not my pics, just some i found.
I must admit that the 1st ones that came out did, but i have a 2nd gen one (one with the sealant already there). I just check it every now and then to be on the safe side.

Thanks, Killerbee. Is Crawford the only one that you know of?

Your welcome. The Stillen bar and also the APS are in front of plenum design as well and will work.
