Wow. I'm sold. I have been considering getting an intake and spacer as my next mod and reading this sealed the deal on not only the spacer, but the place to get it.

How long did it take to do the install? Charlotte is a few hours drive for me, but I wouldn't mind the drive or the wait. CIN seems to have the best labor quote and would be worth the extra money I would spend in gas getting there.

When I arrived there they immediately put my car on the dyno and did some runs. They installed the spacer on the dyno in less than an hour I think, then did some more pulls. It took around two hours, or maybe a bit more. They were very helpful with my questions and gave me a fair price.

Thanks for the info. A spacer was a definite mad that I wanted and I may get a few more things done at CIN. I really don't know of any place in the Raleigh area that has a lot of knowledge and experience with the 350Z. Having a Dyno there really makes the difference since you can see what you paid for instead of just hoping you feel some increased horsepower. Something like a spacer install I would rather travel and use someone trustworthy than take a chance somewhere new.

Yea but not only do they have good prices there great guys and funny as ****. They will show u there cars and other and explain what's done or getting done n detail. And most of the time bad *** cars will drop n and talk to Bobby and ben. There is a shop in Raleigh can't remember the name but went there once and scoped it out and they were just trying to sell me stuff the whole time.

I know exactly what you mean. There are very few choices for performance work AND know the Z intimately. I know a few great body shops, an audio place, and even a tint shop, but there really isn't a mechanic in the Raleigh/Durham area that can do quality work. I'm not saying they're not out there, I just haven't found them.

Although I have never used CIN, I haven't heard of a bad review about them (from this site and others) and their reputation proceeds them. It's nice to hear that they are the kind of shop that will educate you and provide customer service instead of squeezing you for every dime. I'm currently on deployment in Afghanistan and will have that work done while I am on leave. For me to spend a day traveling and sitting in a shop while on vacation needs to be worthwhile and I don't want to waste my time.

I have one and I really was impressed with the gains that I received added with the other bolt on's and reflash, but 20whp does seem a little high. never the less, It is a good upgrade for a DE platform

Hmmm... I wonder if an '07 would yield similar gains?

Hmmm... I will have to research this a bit. I have heard the same thing, but I didn't know if there was a different spacer available for the HR engine. If I can get a 10 whp gain, I think it is still well worth the cost.

After some research, you are absolutely correct.

So what I have learned is a big difference in the design of the HR vs. the DE. The HR has an improved plenum and intake manifold, which supports the dual intake. This improvement is a major contributing factor to the increased horsepower of the HR over the DE. The spacer will give the gains reported for a DE, but is a moot point for the HR.

A lot of this was my fault for not searching enough and factoring in the differences of the HR vs. the DE. The top 100 provided a lot of information that I was basing this mod off of, but since it is 3 years old, some of the information wasn't current to new products that have been made for the 2007 HR.

Just a FYI HR don't need a spacer. That's why there isn't one of them FS on the market.

Yeah, thanks. I just figured that one out and got some education on the HR.
