Default Impressed with gains from 5/16 spacer

So i just want to share how impressed I am with the Motordyne 5/16 iso thermal plenum spacer. I had a dyno run of 253rwhp with my bolt ons (Greddy Evo 2 Exhaust, Nismo CAI, Megan test pipes). Then I got a dyno pull after i installed the spacer and it read 273 rwhp. I have read alot of reviews about this product and how it is the best bang for the buck but I did not expect 20 hp gain! I could definately feel the difference.

So for anyone skeptical about this product or dont know what easy cheap mod to get....get this one

Not certain about 20 horsepower but probably the best bank for the buck for VQ35DE motor.

well i called them and asked to install the spacer. They then told me for 50 bucks they would dyno before the spacer and after. I made 253 rwhp and then when they installed it and i gained 20hp..they were like "wow" thats a pretty big gain. I was very impressed. I was expecting a 10hp gain. I dont know if they did anything with my ecu. They said someone who had the car before me messed with it and it was all screwy...so i have no idea if they fixed it or not

One big problem is that they may have done one pull to establish a baseline then installed the spacer and did a couple more pulls to find the best gain. They really needed to do 3 pulls, spacer install, then three pulls again.

Ok spoke with ben to clear some questions up. They did 2 baseline dynos then after spacer another 2 pulls. It did make around 20hp gain. Also u can get before and after dynos for 50$ when CIN installs parts on ur car. Mustang Dyno btw. Great guys and congrats OP. Looks like I know what I'm about to buy.

This is Ben from the Tuning division of CIN Motorsports.
We pull as many times as needed to make sure we are getting consecutive numbers. On DCshortyG123's Z, we made two, back to back, pulls and had almost identical #'s (+-.5hp).
We then installed the spacer, reset the ecu, and made two more back to back pulls. The #'s were again within .5hp of each other.

To answer questions that have been asked about our dyno setup, we have a new Mustang 1100-SE and the latest Mustang software (March 1st). The difference between Mustang and DynoJet #'s is a lot closer than in the past. For example, our shop G35 made 261hp on our dyno and 264hp on a DynoJet (on the same day). Just keep in mind that any dyno operator can fudge the #'s if they want, so make sure that the correction factor at the bottom of a graph is not over 1.04.
In any case, and no matter what dyno you use, before and after pulls will yield the same power increase.

Congrats to DCshortyG123's gains, I'm sure you will enjoy it.
