Default Decibel level

Hey guys, I tried searching but came up with nothing. Does anyone know what the decibel rating is for the hks dual while at idle and from 3k-5k rpms? Also, what the increase would be with berk hfc's? I want the hks a little louder, so debating between selling it or just getting hfc. Thanks.

This is definitely the most technical exhaust question I have ever seen. Is that information actually available on the web?

Years ago a magazine (Sport-Z?) did an excellent exhaust noise comparison. Since then I know of no definitive testing.

I think that question is a little too specific. Perhaps you should just ask:

Does adding HFC seem to make anyone's exhaust sound louder? I mean, the principles behind the process are the same, regardless of exhaust or HFC manufacturer, I think that if they get louder on one system, they would get louder on the other. Just my opinion.

I'd say go with HFC for louder but similar sounding exhaust notes

Yes, couldnt find any info on the web about the decibel level. I thought maybe one of you guys in here might have gotten an exhaust ticket and had the decibel level checked out so you could fight the ticket or something. I definitely know the hfc will make it louder, but I wanted to know specifically how much louder. There is not point in buying them if its only going to increase by half a decibel. Do you guys know any other exhausts that have decibel ratings out?

I know that the Fujitsubo exhaust raises the idle decibel level +11 and the high RPM decibel level +9 but I don't think there is any data about the use with HFC
