Default Nismo R-tune Intake question----

Just out of curiosity---Can the NISMO R-Tune Intake be installed on the Z for regular daily driving, or will put strain on the engine. Any info would help!

The NISMO Cold Air Intake R-Tune is perfectly fine for daily driving.

It has a water diverter valve so you dont have to worry about driving in the rain.

It will increase the noise from the engine bay but it is a good sound.

Strain???

No, just the opposite. It will allow the engine to breath easier. That's the point.

great! The reason why I ask is that at courtesyparts.com they advertise it for non-normal driving which I interpret that they recommend it only for track use--which wouldn't make any sense anyway! I plan to add the intake, and either the Nismo Exhaust or the Fujitsubo Titanium exhaust w/ Z logo. I am trying to decide. I plan on adding it to the roadster.

Thats what it says in the NISMO catalog because the part really isnt CARB aproved to be installed on a street legal car. Although the AEM intake is and they are the same except for the NISMO has the Water Diverter Valve.

We have the CAI on our site for $269.00

I just had the Nismo Intake and exhaust installed at Performance.
You will not regret adding them. My car sounds sick and feels a bit quicker than before the Mods.
