Default Custom Exhaust!

Well as the title reads I have finally gotten an exhaust for my z. Its a full 3in from the headers back (why because I will be going FI in the next few months), two Vibrant canister mufflers, two Virbrant high flowing cats, and to finish it off two Vibrant 4in tips. The exhaust is sorta based off the HKS exhaust system. All the work was done by my friend Shawn Grawunde and he did an amazing job! A video will be posted within the next week.

PICTURES!

Looks, great! Does it drone though? Without any x-pipe or h-pipe in there

Lol yes lots of drone, but thats what you get with 3in straight pipes on a NA motor.

Look really awesome!! any chance for a sound sample? or a video?
I will be making a sound sample video this weekend, so it will be up shortly.

As far as power gains not really but I built it for future FI so I really wasnt expecting a huge power gain, at the top end it pulls harder but the bottom end it lost TQ, As far as a CEL surprisingly no, untill I uploaded a cobb accessport map lol.

Nice work! Best custom exhaust I've seen on this site!
THANKS! I will be sure to pass that on to my friend.

I don't really remember, since I paid for it in stages (pipe/materials, cats and mufflers, and fabrication) I can PM you my friends email and you could ask him.

2 vibrant muffler and 2 vibrant resonators would be almost 500$ right there. Vbands are almost 50$ each and he's got 4. pipe is about 5$/foot.

Still cheaper and just as nice! as the 1600$ FI exhaust that uses all the same parts.

the drone will get worse with FI. might wanna look into getting a crossover pipe.

Thumbs up

I Have seen many custom exhausts and this is one of the best designs. The no-gasket connections are unique.

The only thing that is missing is a magnaflow 3" X-pipe. Merging is good for numerous reasons.

Damn, that looks really good. Your buddy did a great job.

+1 on the x-piping - it'll help.
