I'm thinking about creating a custom exhaust, just wondering if a 3" Mid-Pipe would be too big on my NA Z...as of now it has a 2" x 2 true dual which I personally think is too small

Thoughts? Opinions?

It's really pretty common... The Nismo Exhaust is 3", as an example. A number of single-tip exhaust seem to go 3", and I myself just installed a TopSpeed 3" and love it.

I'd say on an NA, you wouldn't want 3" piping before the midpipe or you'd end up losing torque.

 

if you make a nice oem replacement for the mid-pipe

I'm saving to have a local shop replace my mid-pipe all the way to the stock muffler with 3"

to kinda mimic the aftermarket nismo setup while not losing my stock 07/08 nismo muffler

on paper it sounds good to me...
