it's in the video title and my signature, but just in case, it's the Motordyne Shockwave with AAM test pipes.

I searched the Intake-Exhaust forum for "lambo*" and got 40 hits including your thread. Perhaps you should read through them to see what has already been said and done with respect to a lambo style exhaust.

this topic will never rest.

SUPERCARS SOUND GOOD FROM INTAKE NOISE..

NOT THE EXHAUST.

IT JUST SO HAPPENS THE INTKAES ARE.. UM.. IN THE BACK ON MOST SUPERCARS.

INCREASE AIRFLOW VELOCITY W LONG PLENUM RUNNERS, AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST 8 OF THEM, PREFERRABLY 12.. GOOD LUCK.

ASIDE FROM THAT... THE CLOSEST YOU WILL EVER COME TO THAT SOUND IS..UM.. YOUR STOCK EXHAUST. FERRARIS ARE A DIME A DOZEN AROUND HERE.. AND THE STOCK CAT BACK IS A FANTASTIC PURR.

Im not bashing your answer because i know nothing about super car engines other than they have big displacement. lol. but i do have a question. When you say the intakes are in the back of the car. Do you mean like forward facing scoops in the doors and fenders?

And in all honesty. I think the answer to this thread is objective. A lambo sounds like a lambo because its a lambo. I dont think anyone will ever be able to make a 350z sound like an exotic because its not one. But i think we can all agree that the 350z has its own distinct exhaust tone that no other vehice manufacturer (besides infiniti[same exhaust]) has. So like many people have said already do your research and make it your own, if you want it loud, make it loud.

Supercars, however you want to define that, have an overall exhaust note derived from the combination of parts and engine configuration...just like any other car does. It's not just the intake, it's not just the exhaust and it's not just the engine internals (flat plane, 90 degree, what have you). They all contribute to the overall sound

to the OP - no exhaust on the planet is going to make your car sound like a Ferrari, or a Lambo, or anything else. It simply doesn't exist. There are tons out there, lots of different ways you can make it all work, but any setup you do is, by nature, simply going to be a variation of the natural sound these cars emit.

My exhaust is straight pipes right from the engine. Motordyne shockwave and Megan long tube headers. I should post up a good video. It was deafening and ultra aggressisve at first, but has since quieted down with all the carbon buildup and general break-in.

Z sounding like a lambo? hmmm that would be interesting

i can picture it now ::from far away a group of people hear the roar of an exotic-sounding lambo/ferrari exhaust from far away, they immediately think it's a gallardo or something and then the moment you pass by in your Z, you get nothing but and and maybe WTF
