Inside the HKS Exhaust H-Pipe
Im about to have my hks modified with the x-pipe, since my flex pipes are starting to leak after being on the car 5 years and 80 thousand miles, and speed bumbs have taken thier toll.. ive drivin it every winter, and still the quality shows, no rust, and they polish up like new. Im now wondering what i find when they cut it off?
Take some pics of the cut out when you get it off pls. I'm hoping to do the same to mine, bought last year so it's a new batch or whatever, so hopefully we can put this to bed one way or another.
I pulled off my HKS the other day to swap to Motordyne and it doesn't have this defect.

I was planning to bring this thread back up whether I found the problem or not, but mine looked fine.

Yeah it's getting pretty old. If you don't like a certain setup then don't buy it. Coming into threads just to bash hks exhausts is pretty lame. I've had a few different exhausts including the agency power single (which I hated the most hands down sounded awful) and the HKS is my personal favorite.
Yeah I figured I'd post my pics up because there is only one picture of this defect out there that I know of. Some claim they have seen it too, but can't show proof. I'm thinking that one was a hack job on a HKS that was smashed up and fixed.
I took mine off and took a look - this is 100% real HKS.
It doesnt have blockage like in the first post but it still has some - Im greddy TT and this definitely doesn't help with flow...
Sorry for the garbage blackberry pictures...
