Default Combating Engine Heat Soak Issues

I've tried the Motordyne ISO thermal gasket and can't tell a whole lot of difference, but recently saw this ad. Anyone tried this 1/4 inch barrier on their DE? The kit is for a FWD VQ35DE but I'm assuming the intake ports are the same. Of course this will negate my stock strut bar installation. It seems any extra thickness would be beneficial to our engine. Any thoughts? or other recommendations?

What do you mean by "can't tell a whole lot of difference"? Do you expect to feel some huge HP gain? Remember, you're only talking about the plenum being 50º cooler - how much do you expect that to translate to cooler air into the cylinders?

BTW - I would expect the material used by the Motordyne gasket to have the same insulating capability as the Phenolic used by that NWP product. Thicker doesn't always translate into better - it's the conductivity of the material that matters.

I have the Motordyne Aramid gasket, noticed a difference, love it.

Coat your plenum assembly with some heat resistant whatever.

I've being doing a lot of reading on the aramid and it seems to be an amazing synthetic...I would recommend that kit in conjunction with some form of heat resistent coating on the lower and a normal coating on top since you don't want to screw up the exchange process.
