I have an idea about cleaning it up after taking it apart, see what needs to be replaced, rebuild it, then try it out. That 2.6L really sucks.
Dave, is your 260 Fuel injected or carbed?

Many people have suggested that, but I was thinking of putting the 2.6 on a stand and having my oldest son help me work on it. You know, father/son wrench time in the garage.

If I could find a 2.8 with a turbo, that would be cool. I heard they're fun to work with. I just want to tear everything out of the car and sand it down to see if it's worth the time and effort. Or better yet, see if it's worth the money.

Good job man. The first thing I thought about when I saw it was the airflow to the rear cylinders but I guess we'll see how it works out later. Hopefully it makes good power.

B, if I could get my engine compartment to look that good this summer, I might feel better about putting a bigger engine in it.

Wasn't motivated tonight to rewire the motor. I have a second engine harness that I completely rerouted everything on to clean up the engine bay. routing all of the coil pack wires and injector wires along the inside valve covers, etc... just didn't feel like it tonight. I still need to find a piece of billet to machine for the TB mating.
