One Last Set Of SGM Longtubes :)
Installed the SG headers on my 06 revup this weekend. With the slip fit collectors and individual pipes this was a very easy install, well the left side anyway. The right side took about 3 hours getting the nuts on and tightened. Total time was about 8 hours with removal of OEM and install (and this was using jackstands rather than a lift).
The SG build quality and fitment is superb.
Looking forward to an SG tune and getting this thing on the track.

Take a look at some photos of shorties vs these or even a cheap OBX/Megan long tube header....the long tubes typically have more overall length to work with, and thus don't have to make such aggressive bends to accommodate merging/equal length prior to the cats. There's less of a bulk of tubing near the exhaust ports (doesn't seem to stick out as far to the sides). Also, there isn't a huge flange like on a shorty where the header meets the cat...that can help some clearance issues in that area.
I seem to recall several posts of people saying that their Megan LT's were much easier to install than shorties for those reasons. Just working off of memory here

Edit: Felt the need to applaud Sasha again. Knowing the difference that a quality header can make, I'm a bit sad that there wasn't enough demand to keep these things selling and perhaps lead to the development of a set for us HR owners. I'm sure you feel a HUGE boost throughout the entire power band. I'm sure these headers help the car breathe better up top, but I'm much more interested in the midrange gains! 20whp at 4k rpms is percentage-wise much greater than 20whp at 7k rpms!

Got bored so put this together. A tongue in cheek plug from a satisfied customer.
More of track vid, but you get the idea of what they sound like. Windows were up by the way.

jus wanna thank sash for making not only such an amazing sounding header but one that also makes power. i knew the nonrevup wouldn't make the gains claimed for the revup but still am pleased with what i got. looks like i'll be getting cams soon
