Default Fujitsubo fitment

I've had my Fujitsubo Legalis-R stainless exhaust on for about 4 years now and this has always bugged me, but I'm finally ready to do something about it. In the attached photo, see how much gap there is between the top of the exhaust tip and the bumper cutout? And the effect is that it seems like the entire rear muffler box hangs down too low, i.e. when looking from the sides you can see the bottom rear-most "corner" of the muffler sticking down below the OEM bumper.

Anyone know if there is a way for me to adjust the hangers or something to move the rear muffler upward so that it minimizes the gap between tips and cutouts?

You might try loosening the connection to the midpipe. which allow some movement of the muffler in its hangers. On my car, I could get it very close, but to be perfect I had to use a few washers between the left hanger and the chassis.

Obviously that's the S-tune, but it's the same as the Fujitsubo except for the label and double-wall tips.

@ VO - yours looks like it fits right. The tips are nice and snug almost touching the bumper. That's what I'm going for.

@ dcains: Yours looks like it fits how mine does, but the tips are smaller and the double-rolled construction makes yours look a lot better.

I'll give your suggestion a try and see if I can get it moved up a bit.

1. cut the hangers shorter on the muffler, rebend
2. find shorter rubber hangers at a parts store (Napa, etc)

other than that, it's going to sit where it's going to sit

Personally, I like the way the OP's exhaust sits compared to vo's (no offense!) Just because for cleaning purposes its a bit easier with that kinda clearance than for it to almost touch the bumper. And if you drive the car hard, I've seen some bumpers melt from the exhaust tip being too close.

I can just barely fit a finger between my S-Tune tips and the bodywork, which is what I'm happy with. As mentioned above, the tips are easy to clean, but they also get very hot, and I wouldn't want to melt the plastic or scorch the paint.
