Individual is someone who obviously changes his screen name all the time, gets himself photoshopped by pissing people off on other forums, and informally represents Crawford and many people probably think he works there in some way. I mean, he is photographed with Doug on the homepage for petes sake.

Ind, please don't provide false info by saying that I tried to build an exhaust for myself. That is ridiculous. Why do you have to try to act like a big man all the time? You always throw out challenges. It is childish. Simple criticism of a PLENUM is not an attack on Doug and certainly not you. Do you think I somehow care that much about you? I don't but I do care enough about other forum members to help them make a decision informed from BOTH sides of a perspective. I do not make a dollar off my opinion while you guys obviously make money off yours. We have very different motivation. Pardon me for speaking my opinion. They have classes on self esteem you know.
First off... the mods in combination with Doug find it humorous to change my screen name all the time. I've never requested it.

As for making an exhaust... my mistake you requested someone to produce a failure for you. NEVER would you be in er.

Big man all the time? Dude - I'm calling you out. Screw racing me. DRIVE MY DAMN CAR! I will hand you my keys!

Thanks for pointing out our members are idiots and can't see both sides of the story on their own. I love how you are the established leader in terms of needing to underline, boldface, etc... everything. BRAVO TO YOU!

As for US making money? Dude - I don't make a dollar from Doug, I pay for my parts as does everyone else. What do I get out of it? Good friend, Good drinks, and Great family.

To get what everyone is waiting for, you will need a large company to perform a lot of R&D, with the ability to create a mold for the aluminum product. There really is no way an ideal Plenum can be made using the same design approach as the stock one and still allow the stock strut bar to stay, there simply is no room. The Crawford one has a small notch in the front so the hood could be shut!! How many of you complaining about the Crawford have seen one on a car in person? The thing is much better looking than the stock one!! The design that LSD was/is working on will have welds as well, no way around that unless it is molded aluminum as mentioned. I hope that your wishes and dreams come true and that a great product arrives that fulfulls all your needs, but until then you are missing out on the best bang for the buck "performance" mod available to date for the 350Z. If you gentlemen want to talk about this topic, please do so without bashing the Crawford product because it does what it was designed to do and it does it well. Once you start bashing Crawford or their products you are simply asking for more of the same that has happened once again in this thread.

Look man, I am getting really bored arguing with you about the same issues. I never said people can't see two sides of their own story. YOU just did. I know that Doug needs to make money as a business. That is fine. Whether or not you get discounts for your rave reviews of everything Doug makes is not my business however you won't convince me otherwise. I have never seen a post from you that raves about a product not made by Crawford. Simple. YOU saying that everything you say is based on fact is not any more convincing to me than I am to you. It can't apply. You saying that any knowledge I have is Internet based is simply said to defame my character to save yours. I have been involved in racing long before the Internet was in commercial existence and what knowledge I might have does not come from the Internet. I have never posted links to support anything I say. I don't need to. Some things I might have to ask certain family members about as I don't know everything. But they have been involved in motorsports obviously much longer than I have and even though I may not have the wealth of knowledge I would like to at this time, I am certainly backed and supported by it. Do not say things about me that you do not know. Thanks. Anyways, peace be unto you, I am tired here.

I agree and would like to point out that I have no problems with visible welds and have not mentioned anything regarding that. Also, if my posts came off as "bashing" then I will say I am sorry about that. I simply intended to state the points of reson that I won't be purchasing this plenum. I think that the title of this thread needs to be reread by some. It is not a question about the Crawford it is a question of when will something better come out. Elaboration occurs.

Talking How is this?

Ok the premium plenum . . .the best we have to offer (so far). It is expensive ($1100 polished, $850 powdercoated). You still lose the strut bar. Until we come up with a better one here it is. Thanks to Danjuro (Evil350Z, The Individual, PhoenixINX) you may have seen it before.

Its the only one in the US and it is on my car!

Those should be the only pics... we've kept that piece LOW KEY.

Only one in existance, so no powdercoated ones.

When did I call you that!?! No seriously, when?

Anyways, that is a show quality shine. If that would accomodate that factory strut brace I would buy it. Mark my words, Crawford. If you make a plenum that gains like this one and will fit without modification to other parts I will buy it. I would want the regualr alum though, don't care about polished. It is not your company it is just the plenum I have issue with. I like the headers if it's any consolation (even though I am going with XERD). If I didn't want long tubes (the XERDs are perfect for me) I would def. go with the Crawford headers.

Gonna need a lot more than a beer down here at Mardi Gras! Glad we all came out of this without making enemies. That reminds me, I have to see what kind of people are coming down to New ORleans for mardi gras from here.

To get the whole idea here is the whole package with strut bar (stronger than stock) and custom oil cap machined out of billet aluminum. We even do a polished front cover (see McDuck) :

On a side note here are Adam's headers cleaned up and ready for coating. He is to install on Saturday at the shop. He can't wait!!!!

And to to be honest wit ya this is the first time I have had the chance to really post up due to all the plenum orders and header development.

Now guess where i am from.

I have a question. It seems like the strut brace could have been madde to fit more closely to the center of the mounting points instead of being pushed to the front so far. Maybe a few inches back. Is it the pics or could this be possible. I could see how if it was straight but more closely resembling factory in relation to the mounting points I could be ok with the brace. What gives?

Also, the polished intake looks to be smooth on top as far as construction compared to the unpolished version. Is the whole intake redone on top or is it just "covered?"

WOW, now that is a manifold... isn't this the same piece that some guy was trying to sell from Japan, claiming he and his dad had a shop together? If thats the case, which the plenum is identical and the pics have been kept on the down-low, who leaked them and lied to the entire forum?

*EDIT* Yes, I'm right... check it out

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....enum+AND+japan

so... who lied?
