Default Mid pipe resonator ?

Does the resonator on the mid pipe have any effect on performance?

No not really. And if it did you wouldn't feel it even on the butt dyno.

I cut the resonator out of my 07. You will get a good amount of rasp. All i noticed was a little bit better throttle response. If you search for the greddy spectrum elite on youtube and find a charcoal z doing a drive by, it sounds alot like that.

Confirming Bottled Water's result, I also had the resonator on my 2007 removed, and while it sounded nicer below ~50% throttle, anything above that and it rasped like hell. It actually sounded pretty phenomenal when it didn't rasp though.

Current setup is custom based around a G37 muffler, but that's another story.

99% of resonators won't affect performance. So I doubt this resonator will either.
