Default Headers Installation Problem! Help!

Im trying to install some preformance headers on my 2003 Z and i got the old ones out but now im trying to fit the new ones in bit i cant even push them into the opening far enought to be able to get them on the bolts. I get it in half way and then it gets stuck, ive tried from every angle possible and tried twisting and turning it but its still wont go in straight into the opening. Is there a trick to this? Those of you who installed the headers yourself can you tell me if im doing something wrong or what up? thanks.

I doubt he tried it with a lift .. More like jack stands. For header installation on jack stands it's going to be difficult. I did mine on a lift and was able to access the engine much easier...

Word. That would be a pain in the ***, it's never good when you have to force something to fit.

What instructions did you follow? The insructions I found on the net were pretty in depth. Did you remove your steering knuckle & radiator hoses? I had to, to get mine in. Did mine on Jack stands. took 14 Hours... bleh

Gets stuck on what? Drivers side steering linkage may be a problem. Remove the buckle.

You may also want to swing the alternator out of the way.

Yeah im doing it on jack stands but i got the front end high up in the air and i got enough room to work with, and on the driver side i did unscrew that steering buckle and moved it to the side as far as it goes and its still getting stuck and on the passanger side its hitting some thin metal pipes passing by that lookts like AC pipes or something, not sure if its a good idea to disconnect that.

Do you bring the new headers in thru the bottom where the cats are? or do you bring them thru the front?
