Install AEM Intake?
I searched and found some info regarding this, curious about those who know more...
I read on the forums that after installing the intake you can bog at a stop when the engine is hot. Im worried about long tern useage with this in regard to water and added heat.
Curious if you guys think putting a cold air intake is worth it?

i had one but sold it becasue wate gets in..since it goes under the bumper where the headlight is...if you have the water shield you can insall it if you want..without it don't..didn't feel any hp gain just good sound....if you want good sound get stright pipe ..it cost the same but you will feel the difference in hp.
Oh dear "best intake" takes me back about 7 years:
You will see several types of intakes:
a. Replacement OEM filter. Washable is good. Lasts forever. Easy to clean.
b. Short intake. Filter under hood on the end of a tube. Easy to clean.
c. Long intake. Generally filter is behind front bumper. Pain in the *** to clean.
d. Hybrid cold air - short tube. K&N Typhoon for example. Filter in engine bay for easy access. Fresh air from behind grill.
Now that you have the facts make a informed decision.
