Default CNT HFC's

Hey what's up everyone. Yesterday I installed the CNT Racing high flow cats on my 08 350z and must say I love the way the exhaust sounds. I had the invidia gemini catback on and it sounded great just wanted it alittle louder. Well these changed the exhaust note made it quieter just cruising around like 5% throttle but under full throttle or a little heavier load it gave it a higher pitch more unique sound. Construction is top notch, super light weight both weighed less then one factory cat. You will not throw a check engine light sense they have antifoulers built in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRtpY...6_8K9lddcVyENl

So where did you get them and what's the cost. I'm not an exhaust "know-it-all" by any means, but I have never heard of "CNT"

I think that these are the same as the ERZ HFCs. I have had them for more than 1 1/2 years with no CELs. I initially had them with the stock exhaust and had some rasp/whoosh issues. Then I switch to a HKS-style exhaust w/the Magnaflow X-pipe mod, to match the HFC and exhaust piping at 2.5", and the sound is perfect to me.

More importantly..as pointed out...those do not have HFCs in them! They're just TEST PIPES! That adds at least another $100+.

No, just trying to point out a less-costly alternative because it boggles my mind why one would over-pay for something. Most are appreciative of the information...

But your argument is why buy the apple for $300 when you can get the orange for $138.

There's nothing wrong with trying to make a buck. It's the American way, and I'm a strong supporter of Capitalism, but don't deny your intentions. I mean, look at you SIG?

I just don't like test pipes because of the exhaust smell and the rasp. That was my biggest concern about which hfcs to buy

I have an invidia Gemini as well so you might have made my decision. Although the art pipes aren't too much more.

hope this doesn't come off the wrong way.. but i'm just wondering how you know the art pipes are too loud.. did you try them out before or know someone who has them that you heard it on? or are you just going by the sound clips online?? and I'm only asking cause i'm in the same boat I want to get one or the other but i'm not trying to have my exhaust get too loud in the process.. its just the dyno charts and power curves on the art pipes just look almost too good to pass up haha

My buddy has them on his 06 with a HKS cat back and it's loud when he steps on it. I mean it sounds great deep and throaty just too loud for me.

Why not go with the ART pipes and the Motordyne Y pipe with the resonator? No offense, but I highly doubt the quality of these HFC are on parr with Motordyne.
