I have earlier Gemini flex version with HFCs attatched and the stock cat support brackets removed. NO problems.

Had the same exact problem on mine. I had the first generation and the flex cracked. They sent me the new ones had the problem told me the same "pen" BS. Didnt work. So I just hammered it a few inches and now more noise. Kinda dumb how u have to do that cause the manufacture messed up and wasn't our fault but oh we'll a few inches to get rid of the nasty noise makes a huge difference. Ur not ganna see the bottem of the car anyways.

Nice thread tho. For future buyers.

Yeah everybody says it should be ok to hammer it, but technically it is weakening the integrity of the car. I know, I know its not that much.. But like peanut_z33 said it sux we have to mod our car to make their part fit.

UPDATE - Invidia got my shipping address to send me a 'new' driver side flex pipe piece.. Who knows what the hell they're gonna send

Did you receive and install yet? I received the replacement part but can't install until next week as my car is undergoing some "surgery" due to vandalism to its room.

Hopefully this will fix the problem.

I must say I am very impressed with Invidia, they were quite concerned, shipped a replacement flex pipe quickly. Let's hope this works.

You know its funny I was wanting this replacement so bad but I too haven't been able to install just yet

Its been annoying with the vibration and even changed my driving habits. But you are correct I'm very pleased with Invidia with the quick response.

Personally I think the flex pipe looks a little bit smaller, moved a little bit, and the angle from the gasket looks like it slopes down a little bit hahaha who knows we'll see this weekend when I install!

Well I installed it and it was still slighty touching

I finally took a hammer to the spot on the car, and I must admit it sounds great like it should. I still cant believe Invidia couldn't put a little more R&D into their products

Thats too bad, putting mine on tomorrow...but I guess no point. Is it easier with the new piece or does it really matter?

Thats really disappointing...

Well, same prob, didn't solve. Had to hammer up the underbody.

**** SOOOOO anyone buying an Invidia Gemini be warned, driver's side flex pipe does not fit properly

Hammered it up and sounds great, but end of the day they shouldn't be selling a product that requires you to do this.
