Default stillen hfc+megan HR ypipe+oem midpipe+aftermarket muffler=rasp?

so i currently have stillen hfc and purchased a megan y pipe, planning to use oem midpipe and just make a bolt on axle back canister. should i expect rasp with this setup?

i have an 03 g35 5at and on the intake side I have a Z-tube and port/polished intake manifold/runners.

if anyone has a similar setup any info would be appreciated. thx

I wouldn't have bothered with the polish, it's been flow tested to gain nothing. The port? maybe.

Rasp will be very apparent on this setup without requisite resonators in place, so it will depend on what you do with the rear canister design, you might end up having to experiment.

Think i've already answered this question on the other forum but no you will not have rasp...megan also makes two style y-pipes. The nismo style and the hr-style...Which one do you have?

I've ran stock cats, hr style catless y, z/coupe middy, and 4" wide open single and zero rasp.

Put on crawford hfc's and got rid of stock cats zero rasp.

Changed muffler to tanabe fat can, still zero rasp.

i have an 03 g35 coupe 5at

my exact exhaust setup will be stillen hfc, megan HR style y pipe, coupe oem mid, HKS carbon ti muffler.

i know the port/polish on the intake manifold isnt necessary but it did however change the exhaust tone and made it sound a lot smoother.

If you're going to do mixed set up of different things to include hfc's a megan y-pipe, get over worrying about having rasp. If you don't want rasp, stay stock or make a serious investment into ART pipes and a TDX shockwave exhaust or quality equivalent.

ive already had many exhaust setups that were more expensive such as greddy evoTT, HKS etc but just want to try something different. i also have other reasons for doing it this way for practicality reasons but it would be too complicated to explain.
