Default Test Pipes

Are they suitable for everyday driving? What are the drawbacks to having them? Save not passing emissions.

Do resonated TP's make a noticeable sound difference as well? What is a good brand to get, I see Megan has some for around $150...

Pros: more power, cheaper, less chance of cracking if you get unresonated ones

Cons: loud, raspy if you get unresonated, odor, almost guaranteed to throw a cel

Does the odor occur in the cabin or just outside?

I only smell it if the windows are down and the cars idling. If I'm moving or the windows are up I don't smell it.

Can't be that bad then, which brand did you get? I'm considering AAM, heard good things about them.

Are all test pipes suseptable to cracking or is it just a quality thing?

Anything that's welded together is susceptible to cracking. Certain test pipes have a better track record when it comes to holding up better so it is a quality thing but its also important to consider that resonated test pipes, like high flow cats, have extra welds for the resonated section of the pipe that increase the likelihood of cracking compared to their non-resonated counterpart.

I have the Berks. Zero issues with them and I've had them on for a little over two years now.

I'd stay away from anything Megan.
IMO,Fast Intentions makes one of the best,if nOt the best, resonated test pipes.ART pipes are great but pricey.
