PPE Longtube Headers
The items listed on the website are all in 409 - Hopefully they have those in stock, ship them to you quickly, get them installed and dyno'd so we can have some more sheets posted up in here :]
I told my wife you peer pressured me to buy them. LOL
JK I'm hoping for good numbers just with the LTHs then ill be adding race fuel to the mix I was going to do E85 but my tuner said the investment my not be worth it due to corrosive issues also since I just park my Z for months at times.

She's a keeper
You'll definitely see good midrange and upper increases - Looking at all the dyno sheets posted tempts me to order them just to have them in storage until my summer build
Even with minimal gains, will still have to go with these in the future just to maximize N/A potential .. such a costly road

Also wrap them before putting them in even though coated. For the 2-3 times I've driven my car since, I've noticed increased heat at my feet. Doubt it will be a big differences...placebo effect I guess!

So now I have to decide if I should buy HFC's and Headers or buy the long Tube headers. Where is the thread for these installed and tuned on a HR?

I had RDZ Motoring check some things for me. While there, I noticed they were a PPE headers distributors/installers. Looked like they did alot of different swaps, and I found them very nice to deal with. I would recomend them in North East area.
At least with shorties + HFC, you can pass emissions and in the event you want to sell the car to a dealership or somebody that requires/wants cats, you won't have to spend big money to have the long tubes removed and replaced. Maybe you like the smell of gas and want the car to be louder. That's cool. You can use TPs. Even if you use TP's... shorties would allow you to swap out the TP for HFC in a 2 hours rather than the 8 it would normally be required to do a header job.
Now, all of the above and null and void if the long tubes makes the car sound sexy. But based on the videos posted earlier, it doesn't seem like they do.
just my 2 cents.
Yeah, I would say that long tubes sound amazing and they are absolutely my next mod (waiting until the summer, though). I'm a little worried it will be too loud on the freeway with my Invidia Gemini, but we will see. I have the stocker I can always throw back on.

Whats the specs on the invidia gemini? I'm lazy right now, but if you open it up too much with a cat back that can't handle the LTH...you'll ge rasp from hell!
It's like Satan whispering every time you shift
I happy with my LTH...wish I wrapped them the first time :smdh: will though... Driven it a few time around the neighborhood like a douche with a Ferrari in the red light district of San Diego...
So badass felt like picking up a few neighbors wife's with the looks I was getting in my janky Z

It's dual 60mm. With Kinetix HFCs, it's not bad at all. I can cruise at 75 without going deaf, it makes noise at WOT for sure, but it's not ridiculous. No rasp at all, pretty clean. I'm pretty sure it will be too rowdy with LTH, though. I'll probably try it out for a week, then go with XYZ pipe and stock exhaust.
My vote is for shorties + HFC. The rational behind it stems from two major factors. 1) if you live in a county/state that requires emissions, good luck passing with long tube headers. 2) from the little I've researched, the hp/tq gains from long tubes are negligible in comparison to shorties + HFC/TP
i respectfully have to disagree on #2. that said, every dyno ive seen on these so far, with denchan350gt's (found closer to the beginning of this thread) being the most complete and well documented by far, it appears that the longtubes are indeed the next step up for the guy that is serious about performance. also, if you got retuned for these and they didnt adjust your cam timing, you might want to try that... esp if u have a revup or hr and can play with the exhaust cam tables.
I used to have the invidia Gemini with my PPEs. The exhaust will be louder, but not much. I'll post videos later tonight.
