PPE Longtube Headers
So is stepped or non-stepped better for HR?
I've read most of the thread and all the info is contradicting each other
.
Some dyno at the beginning shows non-stepped is better mid range but loses 2-3 HP at the peak compared to stepped. And now there's post saying stepped is better?
Which is it?

Thumb up for the members doing such a good effort of writing down comments and advice for this DIY PPE lth installation thread.

Well guys my Z is at JMS Racing, going to get New motor mounts installed, Mishimoto Oil Cooler, PPE LTHs wrapped, Cruise Control Buttons for Map switching and finally new tune with MS109 Race fuel. Lets see what happens.
hoping for the best.

Sorry For not being active on here for a while. Anyway I'm no longer working for RDZ full time but will still handle a few things on a time to time basis. Anyway if you guys want to set something else up let's get some numbers going and I will handle my end.
Nice!! When are you scheduled to get your car back?
In for results and vid plz
I wonder if you'll manage to hit the 360rwhp mark on race gas...should be interesting
Any plans for future engine mods? Seems like the stock intake manifold/TB (even just bored and ported TB's/increased intake piping dia.) would be the next obvious step in order to increase flow and power in NA form. I also wonder if the 3" section in the Motordyne TDX V2 might start to become a hindrance (more so with powerband up top & peak numbers) now that you're knocking on the 350rwhp door NA. Personally I think it would, but some may argue otherwise..

I was planning on having my Throttle bodies turned 2mm but I'm going to wait on that and the only thing I was worried about was the exhaust. I'm not sure if the car will perform better on the TDX V2 or wether to remove it and slap on my AAM 3" single. Only reason I'm staying with the TDX V2 for now is because of my Rear Diffuser. It'll look weird with only one exhaust muffler come out of my diffuser.

Well MM has already put down 322rwhp, so I'd imagine/hope that with the addition of long tubes (replacing his previous stillen shorties and ART test pipe setup) and race gas, it should likely be enough to put him in the 350rwhp ballpark. At that point, I personally believe the 3" section (3.5" would be ideal I think) in the Motordyne TDX V2 catback might become a slight restriction...at least if you're aiming for maximum power in say the 5-8k rpm range.

I think I'll gain between 8-10whp on 93 octane and with MS109 I'm hoping between 15-25 whp and 10-15wtq. Ill keep my fingers crossed.
