Default Godspeed headers/exhaust

I was looking at godspeed headers and exhaust. I have not found any thread on them. If I could be directed, that would be great.

Thanks.

^I know a few people running the HKS rep from godspeed and they seem to like it. As for the headers, meh....its alota work for very little gains...most gains will be made from long tubes, which im pretty sure godspeeds are not LT...

Might run into some fitment issues as well...you have a Rev up, DE, or HR?

Yea and IIRC the real HKS has 2 1/4" plumbing from the cats back. where as the replicas are 2.5"...

Ive heard the Godspeed HKS rep with test pipes in person and i think it sounds nice...fitment wasnt that bad either from what i heard. What are they new anyways? like 500 bucks? lol might as well....

I think there like 400-500 shipped new?

OP real HKS is like $1200? not 2k but still a lot, id rather get a motordyne exhaust for that kind of money. Also if you get a godspeed HKS rep make sure you get the MAGNAFLOW X PIPE

i went through several ebay hks replicas on my old 04. dna motoring's hks replica had perfect fitment, and sounded great. i'd recommend them over godspeed for the price.

save the money get a exhaust from a reputable company that doesn't need an x pipe mod or something to add to it to make it sound good. it will last forever and you will be happy. You wont have to worry about fitment or buying new tips.

^just listen to him he bought several when he could have bought one quality exhaust.

Thanks.
Search. Plenty of threads on the exhaust. Here's one. Most members will say don't bother with headers unless you're ripping the car apart.

If you get a HKS rep you HAVE to get a Magnaflow X pipe. Its the only way to go, it makes the exhaust sound like a totally different exhaust.

I dont know where you got your quote for 1200 for HKS because rallysportdirect has them for 1900 and ebay says 2k+ for them. Ive been looking. I dont wanna get cheap pipes and never heard anything about a magnaflow X pipe. I wanted Invidia at 910$ but at 350$ shipped for the godspeed. It was just too good to be true. You know what i mean?

So, dna motoring's hks replicas are a better route. Ill take a look at them.

BTW...what does the X pipe actually do? Is it just a crossover?

I know what you mean, but you get what you pay for as most members on here will tell you, especially for an exhaust system. Unless you are absolutely dead set on getting the Godspeed or low-end replica, just save the money for something more worth your time at a later date.

That's what I'm doing for either a NISMO or Motordyne exhaust. To each his own though.

Have you looked into other brands like Invidia? I have the Invidia gemini TD exhaust with Invidia TP's and Stillen Headers. I had originally Stillen HFC's but still cant pass smog with HFC's and figured i wanted the exhuast note a LITTLE bit louder so i traded them for the TP's Overall i think it sounds really good. Definately i think its one of the better sounding setups, but just like alot of car stuff...whether or not you like an exhaust note or not is really subjective, different strokes for different folks.

Invidia is reasonably priced though, and its not a very loud setup at all....

Invidia would be my 3rd choice. Can't go wrong with it.
