Magnaflow X-Pipe vs Resonated X-Pipe

Which would keep an aggressive tone but remove drone/rasp?

 

Magnaflow xpipe sounds the best look it up on youtube.... once again u get what u pay for

 

I'm thinking something with a resonator would help reduce rasp. Are you running HFC's?

Putting on a testpipe normally is what causes the rasp...

 

You will have rasp with test pipes unless you have art-pipes or a XYZ y-pipe. These really reduce the rasp from what i have noticed. I am running berk test pipes with the xyz pipe and resonator and experience no rasp whatsoever

 

I have stock cats with a replica hks exhaust that rasps/drones like crazy.
I already purchased the magnaflow resonated xpipe, hopefully that removes some rasp.

But I heard that it quiets the exhaust? If I don't see it aggressive enough, would the art-pipes make it more aggressive?

hers the answer from someone who did the mod lol.
HKS replica tubing is 2.5" not HKS 2.25".. the resonated version of the magnaflow x pipe is slightly more expenseive but is far nicer.. it is larger and requires someone who can weld good to install it as its just about as wide as the trans tunnel.
Magnaflow offers both the crappy looking unresd x pipe as well as the resd version that just looks like a muffler.. thers a perforated x pipe inside it, same shape as the other one.

 

Yeah I purchased the 2.5" resonated with the perforated x pipe inside, cost about $80 from performance peddler I have a friend who's a welder that's gonna install it for a big mac lol
I just have fingers crossed on hoping it removes the drone/rasp. I heard that the H-Pipe on the replica is complete garbage so I'm hoping by replacing it it'll fix the problem. If not then I wasted another $80

 

youl be much happier w it. all exhausts will still drone,but the tone will be far lower. I had one for mine that i never installed and sold to another z guy. went FI so i dindt end up neeeding it.. but youl be all set w what youve got.

 

Hopefully, it's going to be shipped out tomorrow with ups ground. Should be here by Thursday/Friday and will get it installed Saturday. If that doesn't work out ima sell it and add my stock exhaust back on, straight pipe it and add some test pipes

 

I have a replica with a Mag X muffler. Sounds like a Fast Intention exhaust. And with Art pipes it just sounds sexy.
