Default test pipes question

Hey guys, I've been reading over the past few days on what I need to do to get some performance gains. I don't track the car or anything, I just want a little more power for daily driving.

Currently, I have the Injen CAI, and a topspeed exhaust. I've been looking at what to replace the mid pipe section with to increase gains and I've read a lot of brands in the other thread where people have gotten kinetics, berks, fast intentions, and a few other brands.

The one that I have read that seems to gain the most were the ART pipes. I have my eye set on these, but I looked on their website and they have something else listed as y-pipe. Would this be beneficial to the art pipes as well?

Also, I read over a plenum spacer and it seems to "open" up the engine a little. Would this be worth getting for the HR motor?

Any sort of helpful insight would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Go with the art pipes and a tune then you're done. If you're still running a stock y pipe I'd add the motordyne xyz pipe as well.

Plenum spacers are for 03-06 DE engines. HR engines have no use for them. Go with the ART Pipes and a y pipe. you won't see much power from anything without a proper tune though.

ART pipes are great. The Y pipe addition is also good.I had ART pipes on my
Z,had to replace due to emmission problems.Installed HFC's(Z1).Had a tune after
install of the HFC's.Results were better than what I experienced with the ART's.
Had a tune after they were installed.Car is a bit louder and has a more aggressive
snarl.

i don't go through inspection, so i'm not worried about emission problems occurring. how'd you get it tuned?

1. The HR engine don't have an option for a plenum spacer, those are for the VQ35DE.
2. The ART pipes are a good bang for the buck. I gained around +7whp +5tq on them, and by far one of my favorite mods.
3. Go to UpRev.com and look around your area for certified tuners. Come on the forums and try to find reviews to see which shop would suit you best. Costs roughly $600 first time for a tune (license + 2 hours of time) and about $150-$200/hour for any future retunes. I would suggest getting a tune after your test pipes to correct your a/f ratio and get better gains out of all your mods. You'll also have map switching capabilities if you have cruise control buttons (e.g. 93/91/valet/anti-theft/stock)

not meaning to double post, if a mod could merge my post later, but is there anywhere besides their motordyne website to purchase the art pipes?
