Default New exhaust in progress. Dual 3" w/ Magnaflow dual 3" muffler

I got a deal from these Republican in Tennessee on the muffler on a going-out-of-business sale because of Obamacare, and since I already have new 3" piping and used piping from the previous dual 3" to complete it, it's going to cost less than $200 to make, but I probably will not finish it by the time I send the car to EU.

Missing from the pics are 90mm resonators and the 2.5" test pipes on the car. It will end at the differential with down turns for now.

Those flex pipes need a piece of metal welded between them to keep them from knocking against each other.

Yes, a piece of flat stainless will be welded on the pipes after the flex pipes so that they move in unison. The engine will have solid motor mounts by that time as well.

3in dual will be a bit much being NA. Hope you aren't looking for power.

I'm still a bit annoyed by having to go to 2.5 from 2.25 after installing my headers.

Oh do you have a dyno graph showing how much you lose with 3" dual exhaust?

It was insanely good last time I had it though no dyno was done. My only disappointment was not being able to get headers with 3" collectors. Anyway I broke a cam on the motor 2 days ago so the car still drives but it's hard to start so I needs to get that fixed first now.

3 inch after the y-merge position is fine, there is no loss because of it, this was dynoed by MD.

I'm glad I found this thread. I've been looking at doing the same exact setup on my car. Planning on putting on the 3" so I don't have to replace anything when I go FI. Question for you, what is the part number on the Magnaflow? And any clearance problems or anything like that? Also, to anyone that can answer this, this it is best to go with the 3" or drop down to the 2.5"?

Sorry if I'm kinda thread jacking.

Good luck with your build and getting the cam fixed.

I have a cellphone vid but the quality is shitty. It is loud, but it has a very deep baritone sound, never raspy, or high pitched Honda sounding.

The car has another engine in it now and it was down since July 2nd. I finished swapping the engine and rear subframe in 7-8 days. A friend helped me put the subframe back in since it weighs a lot more with everything in it and bolt up things, bleed the systems, and helped me finish the exhaust. Finished it up this past Sunday at 9:00 pm.
