Default Cold Air Intake Problem

Question part 2.

The initial problem(s) are gone now after I did the ECU reset/throttle learning procedure and what not.
NOW, when I turn the car on, the RPM's dip down to like 300 and go back to normal and it stays on and runs fine. Is this normal and is it going to go away in time?

Again, thanks to everyone on this forum who helped, I really appreciate it!

You probably installed the maf sensor the other way around.
Just google images or youtube for installation of cold air intake. Hope this helps.

You can't screw in the maf sensor if its in the wrong way, just saying.

make sure you installed the tube that goes to the bottom of the intake pipe.

It doesn't stay on long enough for me to try the ecu reset procedure.

Okay, I tried that last night, but I don't think it was working. Plus, my car stalls out so I can't get the rest of the ecu thing done. I left the battery disconnected overnight and it got a lot better though. Now it idles much smoother and it revs up higher but it still stalls out. Any other thing I can do?

dude i had that problem on my hr. i didnt isntall a cai tho. i had some one give me a boost right be before that happened and the mechanic said that it shorted out the throttle bodies and fudged up the ecu. thats was caused the rough idle, the car dying and it only reving up to about 3500. the mechanic replaced them and it worked fine.

Generic intake giving you problems, big surprise..

Remove it and see if the problem goes away, then buy something that was actually designed for our car in mind.

You get what you pay for

I fixed the issue, thanks though. And yeah, I will be getting a legit intake when I actually have a normal job. Not planning on blowing $300 on a intake when I'm in school lol.

You're welcome, like I said my car did the same thing and the ecu reset and what not fixed it. Mine kinda fluxuates at first but then its all good. Idle air learning is what fixed it. It was sucking in more air than the ecu thought and didn't know what to do lol. I hope its all good from here on.

I had the same issues after I had the intake out for something. I rushed the re-install and I left the lower vacuum hose off. After it dawned on me months later to take time to check it, THAT WAS IT!
