Default Need some exhaust help

I have a 03 350z touring with Borla Headers with Injen Cat Back Exhaust, im looking for something not as loud. Any opinions something more mean and throttler if that makes any since. And any body ever use a exhaust silencer? Thanks for the help

Not as loud but throaty? Nismo S-Tune I think.

Silencer? I haven't heard of any for the Injen exhaust. You can ebay "exhaust control valve" though and find your appropriate sizing.

Do you have stock cats? Ive heard that the ART pipes make exhausts sound very clean and could get the throaty sound that you desire.*

For the control valve, it's a flap you control with a lever, so you can either close the flap all the way or at a certain angle. So yes, you can control the volume. They've been used on muscle cars and exotics for years, and Meisterschaft's exhaust for the 350z has it, but it's 2k just for the muffler.

With headers its going to be pretty loud regardless of the exhaust you put on but take a look at ARK's resonated exhaust, might help refine your sound

I dont think the butterfly valves are necessary. The volume that the engine produces is just not that loud. I think you should focus more on drone rather than the overall volume of the exhaust
