That's why I ditched the exhaust and put stock back on. And have HFCs to put on next week

 

Does anybody have test pipes and the motordyne xyz pipe with the hfc section? If so is there smell or rasp?

 

I have dc headers, kintetix test pipes, and borla catback and barely hear any rasp, it sounds wonderful and aggressive. In the past I had megan resonated test pipes but the resonator became loose and gave me this horrible rattle, although the sound was nice, but I'm happy with my switch.

 

I've got the AAM single with AAM test pipes. Stupid loud at any rev with really bad rasp from 2k-3k and a lot of backfire. Sounds awesome at WOT. No CEL after Uprev tune and the smell isn't too bad at all. Looking into resonated TPs or an XYZ pipe with resonator attachment to see about getting rid of the rasp which is the only thing I'd say makes them not worth the gains.

 

I got the Motordyne ART test pipes and the stock exhaust. It sounds good, it does rasp but its not loud ugly rasp, it's like a whooshing rasp. You also get that hot sputtering sound after you rev the engine. Check out my DIY for Test Pipe Installation, there are some sound clips there.
