i just think you get what you pay for when it comes to car parts.... the price is cheap for a reason

exactly. there's no way they can price their parts for that cheap if its the same quality. cheap material, cheap welds, cheap resonators etc.

also on high quality exhausts, they strive to have the right science behind getting the optimal sound and performance (varying on brand of course). a replica will not give a F about that...

the best option imo for balling on a budget for exhausts is to get a used one from the forum. not a brand spanking new pos

I would understand buying these exhausts for other cars but the 350z comes stock with a good sounding cat back exhaust system. You are putting a part on that is worse than what you already have.

I've had the same Greddy axleback for 35,000 miles. It sounds just as good as the day I got it. I only spent $600 on it. I think with the amount of time you've put into this you should have just gotten something decent.
