I recently installed (with some light modification) my newest in my never ending lineup of cheap *** ebay exhausts.

I originally started with a HKS replica it was ok for the first few days but then the noise inside the cabin literally started to rattle interior panels after about a month I called it quits.

a 3 inch nismo replica deal sounded like complete and utter crap after break in HORRID exhaust NEVER EVER BUY ONE!

a 2.5 inch single to dual 4.5 inch mufflers sounded good on throttle not to many problems until the resonator decided it was time to puke out its steel wool insides and proceeded to sound dreadful, alas I was about to give up on ye olde ebay...........

Easily the best sounding budget exhaust the burnt tips look great and its whisper quiet at idle and absolutely gorgeous at WOT keeps the VQ noise intact and its easily better sounding than exhausts costing four times as much! please note the one that was shipped to me had to be shortened about 3.25 inches but after my muffler shop took care of it, it fit great and I'M IN LOVE!!! This is by far the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard from ebay on any car, ever. I will post videos in the coming days as she breaks in I hope this helps other poor Z owners like myself out there, I bit the bullet for the team and bought almost all the different ebay exhausts rather than one really nice one. however this 4th and more than likely final exhaust is by far the best you can snag for under $250 shipped. FLAMESUIT ON.

 

just wanted to point out, with all that money you spent, you could of got a good exhaust from the beginning.

??You actually bought all these+spent the time installing/modifying?
Must have time on your hands or,you work for Consumer Reports and
they paid the bill.Or,maybe you are just crazy.
From what you put into this costly journey to find the best cheap exhaust,you coulda
bought a top of the line system.
IMO,the 250 buck finalist that you deemed the winner,check back with us in a few months.Tell us how this great buy has held up.

I hate replica exhausts. By far worst cheap mod you could do to a car, since you are proclaiming to the world you cheaped out on your car. NO replica exhaust sounds good.

Nothing wrong with cheap. All new exhausts look good. Question is will it hold up for 25,000 miles. Post photos at 25,000 miles. Thanks.

 

In the end between all 4 exhausts I came out on top at +$43 after selling the used ones! so this ebay experiment cost me nothing I actually gained some and as for people that hate replica and or ebay stuff I did this so no more threads of which ebay exhaust sounds the best?!?!?!?! It was purely an experiment which I thought at the end of the day would have me spending a ton of money on a invidia or magnaflow exhaust but one of the cheap ones just happened to sound good!

 

as many as will fit in the bed of my Silverado 2500!

 

I know the real version of that Apexi system is nice.

I'm not a fan of replica anything, but those Ebay exhausts, especially the ones with the burnt tips look great. If you don't mind rocking cheap, fake, items on your car, then go for it.

yeah man I just blow my money on suspension pieces the only piece of the exhaust that I spent good money on were my HFCs and y-pipe the rest of the exhaust I didn't really care about.

 

Shiot. I bought the 3" nismo replica, but my car is turbo, so it might sound different. What were your problems with it?

 

Better off buying a used Nismo catback and throwing on test pipes. Sounds 10x better than any ebay crap you can buy.
