jwt Pop Charger vs. K&N Performance Intake Kit
New to this forum and just starting with the many Z mods(wow this forum is GREAT!). So here is my question.
Seems most on this forum go for the JWT Pop Charger, but I saw at local store here, the K&N Performance Intake Kit. It appears to do basically same thing and the K&N claims a higher boost in performance.
So which is better and why?
Thanks so much for your input.

It's more the price point and what brand/look you want to go with. Intakes will make it sound throatier, but CAI's do not add real power. The OEM air box is actually really well designed. I have the JWT and love it. Very nice sound. The heatshields that come with the pop charger (and possibly the K&N) do not really do anything in a normal driving environment, more for the looks as well.
Ken there are literally hundreds of threads on this topic

(1)All CAI basically do the same thing, give the same results.
Don't believe the numbers. You will not notice the power.
(2)THEY LOOK SEXY
(3)They sound throaty.
(4)Budget wise,a Popcharger is you best bet.
(5)The OEM air box with a K&N will do the same thng but look boring.
(6)Your MPG will go down with a CAI due to you playing with your motor and
wanting to hear the "noise"

They all add roughly the same amount of power, however, some claim to lose power because the stock air box is so well designed. As for me, I just ordered a k&n typhoon. Because, well.. It looks pretty cool and it matches the blue color scheme I'm trying to go with. Basically. You pick one you like. And slap it on there.
